The Good News Foundation mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ through hospitalty, spiritual renewal and the support of parish and family life.
Our vision is for The Good News Center to become a resource for equipping and strengthening marriages and families in our community.
As executive director, I welcome you and believe we can be of assistance to you, whether you’re looking for a marriage and family relationship program or conference space for your next retreat. We are proud to be a part of our community, carrying out our mission of “sharing the love of Jesus Christ through hospitality, spiritual renewal and support of parish and family life”.
Through the generosity of Leroy and Hazel Scheidelman, The Good News Foundation, was founded with a mission of evangelization. For over ten years, under the direction of their daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Deacon John Droz, hospitality and spiritual renewal were shared through numerous bible studies, programs, guest speakers and a luncheon series.
Upon Deacon Droz’s retirement in 2005, I was selected from the board to become CEO and executive director. I continue to carry out the mission of evangelization by focusing on supporting marriages and families.
In today’s fast paced world, keeping the family intact is no easy task. On a daily basis, we hear from husbands or wives reaching out for answers to relationship problems. They share the pain these problems are causing to their families. That is why we offer peer support programs at The Good News Center which teach that healthier, happier marriages start with self-awareness and self-change. We believe in people helping people. Programs are taught by trained Facilitators and Mentor Couples. Hearing other people share their stories of forgiveness and healing offers hope.
Today, the Foundation consists of a full board of directors, myself and staff. On behalf of all of us, I invite you to discover the outstanding programs we offer here at The Good News Center.
