Our Love One Another meets every other  Wednesday 12-1 PM here at The Good News. Our upcoming dates are 9/6, 9/20, 10/4, 10/18, 11/1, 11/15, 11/29 and 12/13.

 Hope to see everyone then!

Jesus said, “Love one another.” What does that look like? Everyone’s answer would be different. We, at The Good News Center, have decided to help those less fortunate through a program of the same name by being the hands of Jesus.
For the past Christmas season, we collected toiletries with a goal of making 80 bags for men and 80 for women to distribute to the clients of Hope House. While government aid helps those with financial need, those funds can only be used for food. Hygiene products are not included.
Our Love One Another program delivered crocheted baby blankets and infant hats and mittens to CareNet along with lap blankets and shawls to The Pines at Utica Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. Both CareNet and The Pines were truly grateful.
Another project for Love One Another was our diaper and baby formula drive. We collected donations of newborn and size 1 baby diapers and any type of baby formula. All donations were distributed to CareNet Pregnancy Center of CNY and Historic Old St. John's Church in Utica.
This past September we collected school supplies for Thea Bowmen House in Utica.
Another recent project involved donating over 30 afghans from our knitters working from home to the Masonic Care Community.
Our most recent project called "Blessing Bags" was collecting sandwich bags, lunch bags, water, etc. for Old Historic St. John's Church Sandwich Ministry.
We are always grateful to our Good News Center friends who donate to all our Love One Another projects. Without them we would not be able to have this program be such a success.
If you know of a need that we can fulfill, please let us know and, if we can, we will try to accommodate it.
