Don't Give Up On Me

an evening with Darryl Strawberry

The Good News Center welcomes legendary baseball player and Pastor Darryl Strawberry, Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at Hart’s Hill Inn. Darryl’s career consisted of 335 home runs, was the first overall pick in 1980 by the New York Mets and won World Series titles with the Mets (1986) and New York Yankees (1996, 1998 and 1999).

Life after baseball has taken Strawberry from a troubled man to redemption. Strawberry has found a purpose to help people by speaking about his past struggles with drug addiction and alcohol abuse. He admits it wasn’t an overnight process, but took time to get where he is now.

Strawberry states "I finally found my purpose in life." His personal struggles of addiction, divorce and marriage issues, are all supported by programs offered by The Good News Center. All proceeds from this event will benefit those programs.
